Problem with update ?
« on: 11 February 2011, 12:16:36 pm »

Hi,
I'm just lockout of my plug after messing with network configs :(
Ok, that is my fault, well kinda. I ordered a JTAG so I should be able to regain access.
Another thing that I already experiment twice in 2 days is that the guru network freeze after doing some linux update or installation.
I mean I do apt-get update && apt-get install ntp. All goes ok and ntp installs but some few seconds after that the guru freeze, at least network link disconnect and guru cant be pinged anymore, and I have to reboot it.
There is a known problem with flash or something to do before udate ?

It's most likely to be a networking / instability issue. You didn't say if you were using a wired or wireless connection.

I'm using wired LAN.
With the JTAG I understood why I lost access to the guruplug. The device somehow lost the ifup command !!!
So I issue an ifconfig and then installed the package ifupdown. Very strange.
