What is it with you guys? I could just go ahead and order it from your shop but come on - where's the customer service here?

It doesn't make me want to buy anything else off you in future. Not impressed.

Sorry for the delay in getting a resolution to this problem, we informed Globalscale of the problem and they have had some more connectors manufactured. We have now been informed that they will be despatching these from China next week, so we should have them around the 22nd, please email [email protected] with your original order number and we will get a replacement shipped out to you as soon as we receive them.

This was also common for the guruplug, the trick is to:-
Attach the mains lead to the power adapter slider with it detached from the (guru)plug so that you can push it in really hard against a table top.
Presumably this will also work with the dreamplug.

Having failed to receive even an email response from New IT,  let alone the part itself I'm going to stop wasting my own time and just buy one from the New IT shop. However, there are two "power sliders" listed under DreamPlug accessories:

Any chance someone could let me know which one I should order? I don't want to get another copy of the defective version.

I am using item 5, and got the same problem.The problem is at the interface of 2 and 5.
The pins on 2 are too short, or the small copper plates on 5 are too much "digged" in  part 5.
I have tried to push up the copper plate, but dont find the solution to do it with a small screw driver. Is it possible to have a drawing that explain how these plates are mounted ?
As a temporary solution, I use some small aluminum plates to improve the contact.

I have the same problem with the connection of 6 + 5 + 2: I have to keep pressing 6+5+2 to give my DreamPlug any power.
For the moment I've disconnected part 2 and use an external 5V powersupply...

edit: I've just found out that my connection problem is with part 5:
one of the pins does not make a good connection with the metal strip (that should transfers the power to part 2).
It only works if I press that pin really hard...
