Eth0 problem

Hi,
I've just ordered two of dreamplugs with Ubuntu 9.04 preinstalled. I've problem with eth0 which is not working on one of the device. eth1 works just fine but eth0 cant receive dhcp offer and also static IP address is not working. Led control seems to be ok and mii-tool also reports link is up. eth1 on both devices is ok. Any idea what can be wrong? How to check that it is HW issue? Thanks in advance.

Swap the plugs over (so you know its on a good network cable).
Monitor the network traffic with something like wireshark to see if it is sending DHCP requests.
May also be worth swapping SDHC Cards over.

I've just restarted it and eth0 is working now so I'm happy that port is not dead. But what I did when it did not worked was this:
mii-tool
(eth0 showed UP)
ip a a 10.0.0.3/24 brd + dev eth0
ping 10.0.0.1 - no ARP to GW
cable swapped to eth1 - dhcp immediately worked.
cable swapped back to eth0
the same problem - no communication at all
I'm suspending this thread as it works now. Once I will get into the same situation I will try more.
