GuiPlug v2.7 for the Sheevaplug is available for Download and will shortly be available from the shop.
New Features for v2.7 include:
- Hot Plugging of Usb Monitors, Usb Monitor can be removed and plugged back in anytime.
- Kernel 3.0.7
- Refreshed Debian Squeeze rootfs
Other changes include:
- VNC access still starts if no USB monitor is found at boot but is now moved to port 5901 to allow monitors to be hot-plugged at any time. Adding a usb-monitor will not disrupt VNC access.
Imo Monster 10" can be powered directly from the Usb port.
Imo Pivot, Mimo Touch2 will require a powered USB hub & Mimo 720s/f may require a powered hub.

Here is the best way to decompress the image to your SD card.(change the sdx to your device)
gzip -cdv NewIT-GuiPlug-v2.7-4Gb-29oct11-Sheevaplug.img.gz | dd of=/dev/sdx bs=8192
If it does not complete without errors the SD card is probably too small.
I would thoroughly recommend the 'Integral Endurance' SD cards for their Performance and longevity.
