Just had it confirmed by Globalscale Engineers that the MicroSD does support SDHC.

Globalscale inform us that there is no internal MicroSD connector fitted in the unit, but the pins are there for a connector to be fitted.  This is an option that can be built upon for large orders for a specific use.
