Dear all,

I bought a dreamplug a while back which was delivered with a ubuntu file system. This version of ubuntu is not longer maintained so I would like to install a plain debian instead. My version of the dreamplug is 8. I went to the dreamplug google code webpage: http://code.google.com/p/dreamplug/downloads/list and I am lost here: should I use document:

The code.google.com links should work fine or alternatively try one of the ready built Debian Wheezy images here.

If you were to follow instructions for a v9 or v10 Dreamplug the problems you would likely encounter would be the change of the 1st partition from FAT to ext2 which requires a tiny mod to the uboot variables and the change of wifi hardware requiring different drivers.

And thanks for your answer. Can you let me know more about these 2 specific steps: switching 1st partition from fat -> ext2 and the wifi driver?

For the first point, does it mean I need to format the 1st partition of the usb stick as a Ext2rather than fat as indicated? For the 2nd point i am totally lost as for what it means.

From reading the post on the newit sd images, i had the feeling that the v8 versions already handled the 2 above mentioned points, and still could be installedon the uSD carc, no?
