I've now tried several u-boot images on my GuruPlug, but none of them had the 'ide reset' command mentioned in some posts about the SheevaPlug. Also I've not found the corresponding source code for http://www.newit.co.uk/u-boot/, which should contain the SATA driver...

So, is the some way to get SATA support in u-boot?

Edit: Sorry - I didn't spot that this was about the Guruplug. I don't know the answer to your question.

I don't have any answer concerning the uboot, but if you want to reset an ide device, have you tried hdparm -w (dangerous)?
