Hi everyone,

I'm interested in setting up the dreamplug as media server. What would be some options for storing music on the dreamplug and playing it from clients installed on other PCs?

There are many. Just take some music server you like (e.g. ampache), install apache and mysql (and possibly some other stuff) and there you go...
